This page updates the April 21, 2026 policy. That version described the previous CMS: a server-side contact form, Google Analytics 4, and a customer-relationship system. This static site does not use those.

Velocity Point, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website davelawler.com on behalf of Dave Lawler. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit the site or choose to write.

Information We Collect

  • Notes you choose to send. The contact form does not post to a server on this site. If a contact email is configured, your browser opens your own email program with the note. If it is not, the form copies the note and opens Dave’s Substack profile so you can message him there. We receive only what you actually send through email or Substack.
  • Newsletter. The home page embeds the Measure in Sats signup from Substack. The email address you submit there is handled by Substack under Substack’s policy. This site does not receive or store that address.
  • Hosting logs. The host may record ordinary server logs such as IP address, browser, time, and the page requested. This site does not load Google Analytics, the Meta pixel, or advertising tags.

Cookies

This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The Measure in Sats signup is a Substack frame, and Substack may set cookies inside that frame. You can control cookies in your browser.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Email you send is processed by your email provider and by the inbox you reach. A note you message from the contact page is processed by Substack. Newsletter signup is also processed by Substack. The host processes the connection that delivers the page.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information we actually hold. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information under laws such as the CCPA, GDPR, VCDPA, or other state privacy laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us at privacy@davelawler.com to exercise these rights.
